How to Check for Leaks

Turn off all water in your home. Check the water meter. Wait 2 hours without using any water. Check the meter again. If it moved, you have a leak.

Check Toilets
Put food coloring in the tank. Wait 15 minutes. If color appears in the bowl without flushing, the flapper is leaking.

Inspect Under Sinks
Look under all sinks for moisture, water stains, or mold. Check supply lines and drain connections.
